Finally I decided to upload a self-assembly video of my earlier contact lense bots post:
You can see the quantum dots coming in from the left moving into position for self-assembly
The self-assembly process started a few minutes after placing the liquid and the contact lense piece on the slide. And right from the beginning you can see these two big structures growing in size and even on it, there seems to be a lot of sophisticated activity going on. It looks like it’s being printed by an invisible 3D printer. Towards the end of the video you can actually see the structures blinking and pulsating with light, as if they were interacting with some signal or impulse. The thin line coming from the bottom which is connecting the two big structures, is the border of liquid. The whole right side is dry slide, the left side is liquid, seperated by the thin line.
Was almost in real time, about 4x speed up. To be honest I forgot and I didn’t write the info down for this video, but for others I do have it. I was just all over the place at that time and was doing my experiments rather casual. From now on I will approach it in a more professional way, but I guess that comes with the experiences and the knowledge I gained within the last months. I have more self-assembly videos but I find this one to be one of the most curious things I have witnessed. Especially the beginning, it’s just so fast and literally explodes into existence…
Moving Graphene Quantumm Dots / Nanoparticles
"Because 2D graphene can be manipulated to form 0D structures [e.g., fullerenes and graphene quantum dots (GQDs)], rolled into 1D structures (e.g., carbon nanoribbons and nanotubes), or stacked into 3D structures (e.g., graphite), it is the building block of carbon-based materials with diverse dimensions."1
To me it seems that almost all of this stuff I show with my microscope is 3D. And it makes sense, the visible blinking Graphene Nanoparticles (GQDs) are mostly 0D floating around, then merging to 1D or 3D structures which are more visible since they are bigger. The 0D particles are only visible due to light reflections when moving and special features of the material.
The 3D tentacle arm from the original post, here you can actually see it’s full length…
It was growing at the border of the contact lense piece… I wonder what its purpose is but it doesn’t seem that sympathetic.
And as you did probably notice from the video, my approach was rather “erratic”. I was just overwhelmed by all those objects, I literally looked at almost every milimeter of the slides like a maniac. It was definitely worth the time and next time when I look at the slide, it will probably look different again. We are dealing with fusing and morphing entities here…
😳 what da fug?!
Wish you allowed for posting pictures here. I did a screenshot of the thing at 44 seconds. It almost looks kind of like a seahorse. It had what looked like spinal colon (vertebras) and a spinal process 😳
Someone else posted a picture that looked close to the same. First thing I thought was a Vril. Which is said to be a reptilian parasite and a sign of the black eye club for those that have taken it
I wAnt to puke. zmy daughter wears contacts everyday.
